My Diary part twenty six Sister reply

I was just talking to See Hong a couple of days ago and he had indicated that he was in touch with the Ang Mo Kio rehab hospital and they said there were vacancies and even asked what type of accommodations we wanted. Now there is no vacancy there? Or they just don’t want to do anything til after the CNY? It would seem like a lot of work for mom to have to get used to a JB rehab facility for a week or so, then have to move to Singapore – although since I have not seen her, I really can’t tell what she can/cannot do. I have to say though, that EVERYONE that I have spoken to, from medical people to relatives of stroke patients, have said that the rehab and therapy is crucial. The sooner and the more intense/better quality, the better the long-term outcome. Every day and every week that goes by, is a day and a week wasted for mom.
Having said all that, I will defer to all of you – since I am not there and really have the least clear picture of the whole thing.

Look forward to seeing everyone, albeit under these trying circumstances.
