My Diary part one when bad luck happens

Subject: John fractured his hip
John was wearing only socks and slipped and fell on a piece of cardboard that was laying in our garage last week. We called an ambulance when we realized that he was not able to just stand up and dust himself off. He was admitted and was found to have fractured his hip and had surgery on it. They put a titanium rod and a couple of screws in to help mend the fracture. Apparently, it's the type of injury that is far more common for the elderly. He fell really hard and his hip must have taken the brunt of the fall completely. The doctor thinks he will be in the hospital for a week or so and will then have several months of using a walker or crutches etc. Since John is young and in basic good health, he should recover completely. He is doing physical therapy and making improvements everyday. He is at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Room 1747 (ph 832-355-2563-direct to his room). Daylight Savings Time ended this weekend, so we should be 13 hours behind you.He is lucky because the previous owner of his business is still around and taking care of things at the business. His other partner is also going to the office a little more to check things out. We have health insurance. My job is very flexible. And he could have hit his head or worse. It'll all work out.I just talked to mum and told her about it.chui
