See Hong and Seh Hui
Below is an email exchange between my friend in France and her classmate. It probably tells you things that you already know. Please DO NOT tell anyone (especially at the hospital) that she gave us this info, because I am not sure if she is supposed to. Also, my friend misspoke on some things or gave too much info – e.g. that mom is going in and out of consciousness and about the quality of care. However, if you need any extra help with records or something like that, you may be able to ask for her and see if she can give you extra help.
Another question:
I am thinking that I won’t bring my laptop with me on this trip. Jade uses it a lot for schoolwork and it would be very hard for her to do without it for so long. I am thinking that I can get by with using either Seh Hui’s laptop in JB and See Hong’s computer in Singapore . I may want to install some software on both your computers to allow me to log in remotely to my Houston work computer from Singapore/Malaysia (hopefully that will work) – so that I can keep up some work while I am there. Do you see any problems with this? I think Seh Hui’s laptop is fairly new and I know See Hong’s computer should be able to accommodate the software. To get Internet access in JB, will we need to go to Aunty Steph’s house to do that?
Chui
Dear Friend,
Hi! Chui Fern's mum had an intra-cranial clot with extensive intra-ventricular bleed and Dr Ahmad Khan, our neurosurgeon had performed a craniotomy and removed the clot on Christmas day itself. She also had right-sided hemiplegia. chest infection and is a diabetic. When she came in, she was unconscious. She is now conscious but on Ryley's tube feeding because of difficult in swallowing. Chui Fern's brother had spoken to Dr Ahmad yesterday and taken medical reports and investigation results for a second opinion.

Hi friend,
Hope this finds you and your family well. I know you must be busy as well. But I need a favor from you again. Don't know if you remember Long Chui Fern, ex schoolmate, 2 years our junior. We are still in touch with each other ever since we were housemates years ago in Singapore when I first started working there. Chui Fern is married and lives in Houston , Texas . Her 70 years old mother who lives in JB just suffered what we think is a stroke just after Christmas, and was admitted to Johor Specialist Hospital unconscious. Tests have been run on her to find out the cause of her unconsciousness by the neuro-surgeon there, and from what I understand, both tests came out negative for whatever they suspected. She comes in and out of consciousness and is still hospitalized at JSH. Can you find out how long more they intend to keep her hospitalized? Chui Fern's brother intends to move their mom to a hospital in Singapore as they feel that she is not getting the care that she should be getting at JSH. Besides they say that they have been trying to get an appointment to see the neuro-surgeon, and were told that he does not give appointments. I find that strange. Her mom's name is Tan Lee Eng. I would greatly appreciate your assistance on this. I can understand how Chui Fern must be feeling, living so far from her sick mother.... In fact she is making a trip back to JB on Feb 2 to see her mom.
Big Hugs,Friend
